Mashao facial makeup, an intangible heritage in Shaanxi Province, belongs to Baoji Shehuo facial makeup. Mashao, which is made up of candlenuts, willow branches and peach woods from Qinling Mountains and possessed by generations of villagers, is often painted figures of fairy tales and hung in front of the house and hall to express best wishes.
