  Just after the Autumn Equinox, scenes of harvest abound across China. With the refreshing autumn breeze, people embark on their autumn journeys to admire the season's beauty, pick seasonal fruits, and savor their flavors. When autumn meets intellectual property (IP), tourists can enjoy a wide range of food, beverages, and leisure experiences. This autumn, let's explore six unique IP-themed activities and use a Plog to capture the abundant landscapes.

  Tasting kiwi fruit

  Recently, a national kiwi expo opened in Meixian County of Shaanxi, sharing the delicious taste of the Geographical Indication (GI) product Meixian Kiwifruit with the world. Meixian is working to establish a national demonstration zone for the protection of GI product, forming an integrated industry chain covering production, storage, processing, and sales.

  Savoring lake crabs

  At Junshan Lake in Jinxian County of Jiangxi, 420,000 mu of lake crabs have entered their peak harvest season. As a product granted GI protection, Junshan Lake Crab is prized from claw to roe. To further develop the specialty aquaculture industry, Jinxian County has implemented unified management, helping Junshan Lake Crab 'crawl' its way to prosperity.

  Drinking pear juice

  Around the Autumn Equinox, pear juice and pear soup are popular on dining tables. Jinzhou Pear, a national GI product renowned for its crisp bite and residue-free sweetness, has gained consumer favor. Currently, pear orchards in Jinzhou City of Hebei cover 125,000 mu, with products exported to 51 countries and regions.

  Brewing astragalus tea

  In autumn, searches for astragalus tea have surged online due to the dry climate. Grown in the heart of the Loess Plateau, Zizhou Astragalus boasts a long cultivation history. In recent years, Shaanxi's Zizhou County has been making every effort to build a GI brand, making the astragalus industry a pillar for boosting agricultural efficiency and increasing farmers' incomes.

  Admiring ginkgo forests

  As the weather cools, ginkgo forests in Pizhou City, Jiangsu, have turned a brilliant golden yellow. As a product granted GI protection, Pizhou Ginkgo is valuable for its leaves, nuts, seedlings and towering trees. With 500,000 mu of ginkgo groves yielding 8,000 tons of nuts annually, Pizhou has achieved integrated development of its primary, secondary, and tertiary industries.

  Breathing in osmanthus fragrance

  In autumn, the streets and alleys of Pucheng County of Fujian, are filled with the delicate fragrance of osmanthus blossoms. In 2010, Pucheng Osmanthus was granted GI protection. With over 40,000 mu of osmanthus trees benefiting more than 100,000 farmers, the osmanthus industry has shown distinctive growth.
